Help
share some plughole love around
the world... |
Thank you for
taking an interest in Buster's second annual Plughole
Week (7-13 July) which will raise funds to help
the 1.1 billion people
worldwide who don’t have access to clean,
safe water. |
| Did you know that
up to 1.8 million children die every year as a result
of diseases caused by unclean water and poor sanitation?
That's 5000 deaths
a day. And while the average European uses 200 litres
of
water a day, people in the developing world use
just 10 litres; the same amount |
as we use to flush the toilet.

more. |
| During Plughole Week Buster will
buy water filters for families in the developing
world through a donation to safe water campaign
Turn on the Tap 2008, run by international charity
Samaritan's
Purse. |
| Plughole Week aims to raise awareness
amongst UK households of the benefits of modern
| sanitation compared
to the desperate situation in many third world countries.
| So remember how
lucky we are and give your plugholes some extra
love during Plughole Week (7-13 July). You could
also follow Buster's lead and pledge your support
for Turn
on the Tap 2008 to help provide water
to those who need it most. |
